Apriva Announces Plans for International Expansion

Company to Showcase AprivaTalk™ At Cartes 09 November 17-19 in Paris

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Novemeber 10, 2009 – Apriva, North America’s leading provider of wireless transaction solutions, today unveiled plans to offer its products and services in select markets throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia. As part of this initiative, Apriva expects to provide its Secure POS™ service, which includes AprivaTalk™, an advanced wireless technology that ensures transaction reliability and helps financial services providers meet PCI 1.2 security requirements. Apriva plans to introduce Secure POS at Cartes 09, November 17-19 at the Villepinte Exhibition Center near Paris.

“Wireless technology requires very specific skills and knowledge that most financial services providers do not possess. As a result, many struggle to maintain the compliance of their wireless solutions as security requirements continue to evolve,” says Paul Coppinger, president of Apriva. “Picking the right partner, with expertise in both wireless and security, is essential to their success. Our AprivaTalk technology efficiently addresses worldwide PCI 1.2 requirements, while our Secure POS products and services make it simple to bring ready-made wireless solutions to merchants. We anticipate that the Apriva offering will be as compelling in international markets as it is in North America.”

AprivaTalk is the leading wireless payment processing technology in North America, with more than 60 percent market share. It is one of just two technology protocols certified to satisfy global security requirements, and is highly regarded for its ability to address the most stringent security and encryption standards. AprivaTalk is also cost-effective and very efficient, providing superior transaction speeds some four times faster than SSLv3 technology and significantly reducing overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Apriva plans to offer its full range of products and services to international financial services providers. This expansive portfolio includes a wide array of POS devices, network services, encrypted transmission technologies, web-based management tools, and comprehensive support. Providers have the opportunity to tailor customized solutions for merchants that are looking to fully leverage the efficiencies of wireless transactions.

“Our partners agree that Apriva’s ability to deliver and support complete, end-to-end solutions is an indispensible resource for improving the satisfaction and loyalty of their wireless merchants,” notes Coppinger. “We anticipate that the profound benefits of Apriva’s ‘single-source’ approach will be well received by providers and merchants across Europe, Latin America and Asia.”
