Scottsdale, AZ, May 13, 2013—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions, gateway services, and secure information solutions, announced that Bill Ramsey, the company’s vice president and general manager of mobile payments, will participate in a keynote roundtable session at the NFC Solutions Summit 2013. The event is scheduled for May 14 and 15 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel San Francisco Airport, located in Burlingame, California. The keynote roundtable is scheduled for May 15 at 4:15 pm.

Organized by the Smart Card Alliance and the NFC Forum, the NFC Solutions Summit is regarded as one of the premier events showcasing the potential of Near Field Communications (NFC) technology. The conference will focus on the viability of NFC for both mobile commerce and authentication purposes, and will include a number of educational sessions, roundtable discussions, and product demonstrations.

In his session, Mr. Ramsey will describe how NFC payment presentation methods can integrate with cloud-based mobile commerce platforms to deliver a comprehensive solution that is flexible and secure.  Among the topics he plans to cover include the integration of NFC-based payments with various mobile commerce services features like mobile marketing, loyalty, fulfillment services, and the emerging EMV credit card security protocol.

“We are pleased that Bill will participate in this roundtable discussion, which will examine how NFC and cloud solutions can work in unison to deliver a robust, reliable, secure and customer-friendly mobile commerce experience for merchants and consumers,” said Stacey Finley Tappin, Apriva’s vice president for sales and marketing. “Merchant services providers, merchants, and consumers, are all showing a rapidly escalating interest in mobile commerce.
