Apriva To Discuss Cashless Vending at NAMA OneShow

Technology Session, Learning Lab Will Showcase Mobile Commerce Innovations and Campus Solutions

Scottsdale, AZ, April 2, 2014—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions, gateway services, and secure information solutions, announced that it will participate in two panel sessions at the NAMA OneShow to discuss emerging innovations and opportunities that are expected to impact vending services providers. The NAMA OneShow is among the world’s largest conferences and expos for vending solutions. The event will take place April 9 -11 at the McCormick Place Lakeside Center in Chicago.

Rinaldo Spinella, Apriva’s executive vice president for strategic accounts, will deliver the presentation “Mobile Solutions and Vending: Transforming Vision Into Reality” as part of the event’s Enhancing Technology Performance panel, scheduled for April 9 from 8:30 am-10:00 am. During his remarks, Spinella will describe recent advances in mobile commerce technology, and will discuss how various mobile marketing, payments, loyalty, gifting, and social interaction features have the ability to re-define the vending experience for both merchant and consumer.

In addition, Paul DeRosse, Apriva’s vice president for business development in Canada, will speak in a session at the OneShow’s Learning Lab Center. His presentation, “Cashless—The Perfect Fit for Campus Business,” will give real world examples of how campus administrators can successfully implement cashless vending into their existing campus card network to enhance convenience and boost revenue. That session, which will be co-presented with Vancouver-based vending operator VendMaster, is scheduled for April 10 at 4:00 pm.

“Apriva is very pleased to participate in these sessions and offer our vision and expertise in two very exciting endeavors,” said Stacey Finley Tappin, Apriva’s senior vice president for North America sales and marketing communications. “Certainly the capabilities and popularity of smartphones give consumers new and interesting ways to communicate, interact and shop—all of which can be integrated into a vending environment.”

“In addition,” continued Tappin, “This spirit of innovation is redefining the campus environment, where many administrators are looking to fold cashless vending into their existing closed loop networks. Apriva currently works with some 250 campuses across the United States and Canada, and we continue to see a growing interest among universities and colleges for implementing these solutions. The ability to increase revenue, lower costs and provide consumers choice and flexibility resonates in this market.”
