Apriva President Paul Coppinger to Speak at Cartes in North America

Presentation Will Analyze the Dynamics Behind the Burgeoning Mobile Wallet Sector

Scottsdale, AZ February 28, 2012—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions and secure information solutions, announced that Paul Coppinger, the company’s president and co-founder, will deliver a presentation at the CARTES in North America Conference and Expo, scheduled for March 5-7 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Mr. Coppinger’s presentation, “Mobility + Payments: More Than the Sum of Its Parts” is scheduled for 4 pm on March 5.

In his session, Coppinger is expected to describe the dynamics affecting the mobile payments sector, including an assessment of the various types of wallet solutions that are permeating the market, and how they are expected to impact merchants, consumers, and traditional providers like merchant acquirers and ISOs. His session will discuss the ramifications of cloud-centric and device-centric wallet offerings, and look at some of the latest features that are generating interest among providers and customers. In addition, Coppinger will provide an evaluation of the foundational technologies behind mobile payments, including emerging technologies such as EMV and Near Field Communications (NFC).

“The CARTES event in Paris has long been recognized as one of the premier showcases for providers and customers of payment-, security-, and authentication-related card technologies,” said Coppinger. “I am honored to have been asked to speak at the inaugural CARTES event in North America, and look forward to sharing Apriva’s perspective on the drivers that are affecting the mobile commerce sector.”
