Apriva President Paul Coppinger To Present at Social Mobile Payments: Americas Conference

Presentation Will Emphasize the Need For Solutions Providers to Support Traditional and Emerging Payment Instruments and Technologies

Scottsdale, AZ October 30, 2012—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions and secure information solutions, announced that Paul Coppinger, the company’s co-founder and president, will speak at the Social Mobile Payments: Americas Conference, scheduled for November 6-8 at the Biscayne Bay Marriott in Miami, Florida.  Mr. Coppinger’s presentation, “Paving the Road to Mobile Commerce From the Cloud,” will take place Wednesday, November 7th at 11 am.

The Social Mobile Payments: Americas Conference brings together thought leaders, experts and innovators from the social media, mobile connectivity and payments sectors. The conference is designed to educate attendees on the growth potential that results from the triangulation of all three disciplines, and the impact that these solutions will have on the global economy.

In his remarks, Mr. Coppinger is expected to provide an assessment of the factors that are increasingly complex—and at times, competing—that are defining mobile commerce.  Among the topics he’ll touch on include the ongoing debate of NFC vs. cloud-based technology, and the need for providers to support traditional payment forms like credit and debit cards, as well as emerging payment forms such as proprietary payment credits and closed loop currencies.

“Mobile commerce solutions providers are facing a number of critical challenges in determining what features, technologies, and payment forms to incorporate into their wallet products,” explained Coppinger. “As a company that works closely with all types of mobile commerce vendors, Apriva is in the unique position of having access to the variety of approaches that many vendors are implementing to solve the integration, deployment and fulfillment challenges that are hindering consumer and merchant adoption of mobile commerce solutions. I look forward to sharing these observations with the attendees, and discussing tangible deployment strategies that can meet the needs of solutions providers, merchants, acquirers, and consumers.”
