Discussion Will Highlight Evolving Cashless Vending Technologies
Scottsdale, AZ, April 17, 2013—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions, gateway services, and secure information solutions, announced that Rinaldo (Ron) Spinella, the company’s executive vice president and general manager of unattended payments solutions, will join a panel discussion on technology innovation at the National Automated Merchandising Association’s (NAMA) The OneShow, scheduled for April 24-26 at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The session, “V-Engineering, The Next Generation,” will take place on April 24, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
In the session, Mr. Spinella will describe several technology innovations that vending operators should keep in mind as they build or expand cashless deployments. Among these are upcoming introductions of EMV technology, which enhances credit card security and reduces fraud, as well as the ongoing evolution of wireless networks to newer 3G and 4G technology, and how this transition will affect cashless vending.
