Apriva and University of British Columbia To Provide Live Case Study at CAMA Expo 2013

Session Will Illustrate How Higher Education Facilities Can Seamlessly Integrate Cashless Vending Into Campus Card Services

Scottsdale, AZ September 25, 2013—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions and secure information solutions, announced that it will team up with the University of British Columbia (UBC) to deliver a live case study on cashless vending during the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association (CAMA) Expo 2013, scheduled for October 6-8 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver, BC. The live case study is set for 9:45 am on October 8. Apriva will also display its market leading Apriva Vend™ cashless payments solution during CAMA Expo 2013.

In the session, representatives from Apriva and UBC will describe the University’s business rationale for integrating vending into the campus card system, as well as the steps that are required in terms of incorporating vending into a card-based, closed loop payment system. In addition, the presenters will reveal a number of best practices and offer tangible advice for other institutions looking to leverage cashless vending. The case study will conclude with a question-and-answer segment.

“We are very pleased to join with our colleagues from UBC in presenting this case study to the CAMA attendees,” said Paul DeRosse, Apriva’s vice president for business development in Canada, and a presenter on the panel. “Many colleges and universities throughout North America are now exploring the concept of extending their card-based payment services to their vending operations. We believe the experiences of the University of British Columbia will be extremely useful to those institutions that are looking at various options to implement these technologies at their own campuses.”

In addition to the case study, Apriva will showcase its Apriva Vend solution at the event. An end-to-end solution, Apriva Vend gives vending operators the ability to cost-effectively integrate cashless vending into their operations. Through this solution, operators have the ability to substantially improve customer satisfaction, increase operational efficiency and expand sales and profit margins.
