EMV mPOS Solution – Globalcom

New Partnership Delivers EMV Ready Solutions for Parking, Vending and Self-Serve Stations

Scottsdale, Ariz. and Mornago, Italy, July 14, 2015 — Apriva, the leading provider of secure end-to-end wireless transaction and information solutions, today announced a partnership with Globalcom Engineering, a leader in payments hardware. By integrating Apriva’s Gateway with Globalcom hardware, this partnership brings proven EMV hardware into a wide variety of unattended markets in the U.S. including parking, kiosk, car wash, banking, gaming, airline kiosk, vending, and retail.

“Patrons of unattended solutions want simple, safe, easy payments,” said Alessandro Gardinazzi, International Business Development, Globalcom. “Combining our proven EMV ready hardware with Apriva’s connections gives consumers and vendors the customizable, high quality, easy experience they desire. Furthermore, Apriva has been a great partner for entering the U.S. market due to their knowledge of the U.S. unattended market and regulations, and their unmatched processor connections which will enable us to penetrate multiple market segments more quickly.”

This announcement follows on the heels of the recently announced partnership between Apriva and Amano McGann, the leading parking solutions provider serving more than 5,000 locations in North and South America. Amano McGann will be utilizing Globalcom hardware solutions with Apriva technology, marking the first joint customer between the two brands, as well as the debut of the joint solution in the U.S. market. A unique feature of the combined Apriva-Globalcom solution is that the payment application lives on the device itself, reducing the PCI scope and associated regulation compliance requirements.

“As the market continues to shift towards unattended payment terminals, we need solutions that address changing regulations such as EMV and provide customers a wide variety of payment options,” said Brian Sadowski, Chief Information Officer at Apriva. “This partnership with Globalcom ensures that we’re giving both consumers and vendors the most comprehensive solution possible, making management, upgrades and payments easy, while also making it easier for customers like Amano McGann to quickly and easily adopt EMV.”

Apriva’s Integration Services Program allows Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and mobile and embedded developers, to easily implement credit, debit, EBT, loyalty and closed-loop payment processing into their solutions. Once integrated, applications and POS solutions can communicate with the Apriva Gateway over a wired or wireless network providing access to payment processing providers. Apriva maintains relationships with more than 35 payment processers in North America, along with all leading wireless carriers, and currently works with more than 1,000 merchant acquirers and ISOs across the United States and Canada.
