Apriva Surpasses 500 Channel Partner Milestone

New Partnerships Expected To Drive Vending, Mobile Payment Sales

Scottsdale, AZ October 11, 2011—Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transactions and secure information solutions, announced that it has now expanded its roster of point of sale (POS) channel partners to more than 500. These organizations are actively reselling Apriva’s portfolio of wireless POS payment solutions and include a mix of merchant acquirers, independent sales organizations (ISOs) and wireless communications service providers located across the United States and Canada.

According to Stacey Finley Tappin, vice president of sales and marketing for Apriva, the recent surge in channel partners over the past 18 months can be attributed to the successful launch of several new offerings, including the AprivaPay™ mobile payment application and the Apriva Vend™ cashless vending solution.

“For well over a year, Apriva has been approached by a wide range of resellers who have expressed interest in selling our solutions into a variety of markets, including made-for-purpose technologies, smartphone payment applications, and cashless vending services,” explained Tappin. “These channel partners have concluded that Apriva’s solutions are best positioned to serve a rapidly evolving market. We’re extremely proud to welcome these new resellers into the Apriva family, and fully expect that they will achieve tremendous growth, success and satisfaction by, offering our technologies.”

Among the solutions that have drawn the attention of channel partners is AprivaPay, a mobile payment application that can be used with iPhone®, Android™, BlackBerry®, and Windows Mobile® devices, as well as any browser-enabled cell phone. AprivaPay supports a number of optional card swipe and printer peripherals, giving merchants the ability to process cards and present receipts in any location.

Many resellers have also indicated the desire to offer Apriva Vend, an end-to-end unattended payment solution which enables vending operators to accept and process credit card payments at vending machines.

“The vending space is receiving a great deal of attention from merchant acquirers and ISOs as a lucrative, untapped market,” said Tappin. “These channels have a great deal of expertise in selling wireless payment processing solutions, and see Apriva Vend as an appealing solution for vending operators who need to grow sales, expand margins, and reduce operating costs.”
