Although the transaction data may only require 200-300 bytes of data, a secure connection can be burdened with more than 4,000 bytes of overhead—that’s more than 10x the size of the transaction itself. You pay for every byte of data that flows through the network with wireless, so secure solutions are more expensive. Apriva was originally designed with wireless in mind so our built-in security never affects your price.
